It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Most case study projects are considered to be ‘development’ and require planning
permission. The UK system is complex, though, and some small residential projects,
for example, may not require permission. This book is not a primer on UK planning
practice and you will be expected to have researched key points to include here are
the type of planning application, the pre-application process, and any issues that flow
