This book is based on twenty-five years of experience working with individuals and organizations to come up with better ways to evaluate programs and people's performance. One of the paradoxes that happens too frequently is that organizations have an overabundance of available information, yet believe they lack the data they require and the funds and time to obtain it. It is my hope this book provides the reader with the courage to question what is available and to balance the need for the important information against the desire for precision and perfection.
