As you begin to carve you will be focused on figuring out your design and learning to understand how to use positive and negative space to create the image you see in your mind. Usually, it is after we carve our erasers and stamp them that we see every flaw. Then we dive into the eraser with our blade and a determination to clean up the scraggly bits, which then shreds our edges even further and sometimes destroys our artwork completely. I am going to teach you how to avoid this by ensuring you are creating clean cuts from the start.
