I don’t know about you, but I love it when things are not the size they are supposed to be. Throughout my artistic career, my joy has been making a thing and then making it as big as possible and as small as possible. We all love a tiny thing, and an oversized thing. Massive spell-book-style journals? Yes. Tiny tea sets? My most prized childhood possession. Humanity loves oddly sized things. I recently saw a tiny metal book that folded open to become a gold bracelet made by Victorian-era jewelers. Also, look at historic art and architecture: the pyramids? The Nazca Lines?
