So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
9Image Styles
This section of the book focuses on planning out your design. True story: I often draw the picture that I want and then sit back and realize I am not exactly sure how I want to actually execute it as I begin carving. The majority of my artistic expression happens on the fly, without any preplanning, but after exploring eraser carving for a while I have established a few image styles that I have found helpful for teaching others to begin expressing themselves with the craft. You can use these image style examples to help figure out how you want to tell your story as you begin each of your eraser carving designs.
