Processes

Every program running under Windows runs in the context of a process. A process is an executing application and has a single virtual address space, a list of valid handles, and other Windows resources. A process consists of at least one thread, but may contain a large number of threads.

Python has the ability to manage processes from a fairly high level, right down to the low level defined by the Win32 API. This section discusses some of these capabilities.
