具体的な例を見ながら考えてみましょう。

かしこい人たちが見つけた便利な道具なんだよ。そのために、まず「標
準偏差（ひょうじゅんへんさ）」から見ていこう。
ヒストグラムで「データのばらつき」は見やすくなったけど、そもそも
データのばらつきって、そんな重要なことなの？
ただのばらつきから、そんなことがわかるの？
ばらつきの形が？
データのばらつきを利用すると、とても便利なことがあるんだ。自然界
では、似たようなばらつきの形になることが多いんだよ。
それを「正規分布」というんだけど、この形を使う と「 普通のことなのか、
珍しいことなのか」がすぐわかるんだ。
