Chapter One. System Considerations
Since you purchased this book, we’re assuming you already have a solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop CS4 fundamentals, including the process of optimizing your hardware to run efficiently with Photoshop. For example, we assume you already understand what a scratch disk is and why you’d want to use one. However, because the computer landscape is constantly advancing with new processing, storage, and system technologies, it makes sense to cover some of the more important points. The information provided in this chapter will benefit Windows and Mac OS X users equally.
