Photoshop has a variety of settings you can use to view and render your 3D shapes and models to speed up your workflow. The various wireframe and illustration options are intended to help you position your model and lights, while ray tracing is meant for visualization and preparing for a final render. Starting with a few basic shapes and experimenting with the different kinds of render settings will help you figure out what works best. For most situations, we recommend using a wireframe view or basic shading options for the creation and/or rough positioning of your 3D content, lights, and camera.
