It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When beginning an artistic project in Adobe Photoshop CS4, you might be tempted to skip the relatively boring details of planning and preparation and dive right into the process of crafting your imagery. Although this can lead you in unexpected directions (sometimes with good results), more often than not “leaping without looking” will result in frustration unless you have unlimited time (and even budget) for endless experimentation.
