The most important part of processing raw images is getting the color and tonality right. This is a point of confusion for some, because “right” is often taken to mean the most neutral white balance or overall color temperature, and a nice, evenly lit exposure. This mindset is driven by the principles taught in traditional photography classes. Although neutral colors, and even lighting, may be preferable in some composite images, keep in mind that ultimately you are trying to achieve a specific vision, not make every region of color or tonality perfectly balanced or “neutral.”
