So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Controlling Camera Noise
One of the most overlooked strong points of ACR is its ability to handle noise and sharpening duties. This wasn’t always true; versions of ACR prior to the one that came with Photoshop CS3 were equipped with some noise and sharpening functionalities, but they were not as powerful as what currently is available. Once you’ve finished with your color and tonal corrections on your composite source images, we strongly recommend that you zoom to 100 percent (or more) and jump over to the Detail panel. Use the Hand tool to move around your image and look for any sign of color noise or luminance noise....
