XML supports a substantial set of data types, and in this hour you learned about the standard types and how to use them. The dataType property is not read only and can be modified dynamically when necessary. The modification can be done by a simple assignment to the dataType property of the node. This operation may appear to be frivolous, but the value is obvious when XML is considered as just one part of a complete database package.
