Q&A

Q1:Why is it more efficient to perform database queries on the server than on the client?
A1: In all but the most trivial of cases, the database of books will be very large. To manipulate the database, first you would have to download it to the client. This would take a great deal of time and bandwidth. It would also create multiple copies of the database outside the realm of the online company.
Q2:Why does it make sense to store the file of purchased books on the server?
A2: Making the data available will allow the seller to mine the data for any significant information regarding purchasing habits.
