The last exercise in Hour 13 demonstrated that it's possible to perform selective data extractions from one or more XML files. However, the method used was rather lengthy and inefficient. This hour will introduce options that qualify the actions of the XSL templates that will perform queries and other data extractions with a minimum of programming effort. Furthermore, if the data is stored in an XML format, the code that performs the queries is easily embedded in the HTML Web pages.
