So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding the consensus mechanisms
The purpose of the consensus mechanism is to allow the blockchain nodes to reach an agreement on the current state of transactions. The consensus mechanism must also be fault-tolerant, meaning that it must be able to function even in the presence of malfunctioning or dishonest nodes. This requirement leads us to the famous Byzantine Generals Problem, or Byzantine failure problem.
