Securing private keys
The advantage of using private keys as the only personal credential needed to identify individual users and their assets on a blockchain is therefore balanced by the need to adequately protect these private keys. Private keys can be stored in special wallets, thus preventing their possible theft.
It must be kept in mind that the security measures adopted to protect private keys are more stringent than those adopted for traditional access credentials, precisely because of the fact that a third party (such as a bank or an e-commerce site owner) does not intervene in their management, therefore the responsibility for the security of private keys lies entirely with the user.
