Abstract
Offline programming is a technique for programming robots in which the robot program is developed apart from the robot cell itself. The actual industrial robot is then programmed to run the robot software. In off-line programming, a graphical 3D model in a simulator is used to simulate the robot cell. To instruct the robot on a PC, a lot of robot companies are providing offline software. This program is primarily vendor-specific and only works with a single robot brand. If consumers are not using different brands of robots, there is no issue; if they do, they must use distinct software for each one. The obvious benefit is that the software and the robot are tightly related, the simulation is frequently based on the robot’s control logic, and the controller command vocabularies are typically very extensive. Apart from vendor tools, industrial ...
