Abstract
Surgical robots have revolutionized the fields of urology and gynecology, enabling enhanced precision, reduced invasiveness, and improved patient outcomes. In urology, robotic-assisted procedures, such as prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and pyeloplasty, have become the standard of care due to their ability to facilitate meticulous dissection in confined anatomical spaces. Similarly, in gynecology, robotic systems are widely employed for hysterectomy, myomectomy, and endometriosis treatment, offering superior visualization and dexterity. This chapter reviews the clinical applications, benefits, and limitations of robotic surgery in these specialties. It also examines the technological advancements in robotic platforms, including motion scaling, tremor filtration, and 3D visualization, which enhance surgical performance. Key robotic systems, ...
