Abstract
The very thought of having a non-human thing do daily chores was widely rejected by the world due to it being a fully unknown field; however, as technology and time progressed, advancements to the field of robots and automation were developed rapidly. Now, in present times, we see robots working alongside humans, aiding us in all aspects of our lives, ranging from small autonomous house cleaning robots, to fully functioning autonomous cars. A particular field which advanced the most from these advancements is the field of manufacturing industries. The use of robots in manufacturing industries increases the industry’s efficiency of product making, reduces manual labour, saves funding, and can work even in harsh conditions where a human cannot. Advancements in these robots are necessary to keep up with the ever increasing demands of customers. This chapter covers many topics in which the next generation industrial robots implemented in the manufacturing industry could develop and implement on, which will increase their efficiency and quality. This chapter includes a list of few materials which can be used as alternative to the traditionally used metals in robots, which could increase quality ...
