Abstract
The rise of intelligent or smart hospitals is transforming healthcare by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data analytics, and so on, in order to modernize the patient care paradigm, enhance hospital operations in an entirely new way, and enrich experience in the healthcare system. It extends to real-time health surveillance, predictive analytics, and tailored treatment plans built by connecting devices and automation. More especially, the approach is proactive with critical health needs being met, such as those that evolves from an aging population or other increase in burden from chronic diseases. Moreover, IoT hardware that comprises, inter alia, remote monitoring systems, health tracking wearables, and smart beds afford continual real-time monitoring of vital signs, thus enabling more accurate diagnostics and real-time interventions. AI will help provide more intelligent clinical choices, better-diagnostic accuracy, and greater efficiency through administrative automation. It does bring the benefits of increasing patient engagement, such as virtual consultations or procedures, or Web-based appointment scheduling and sending reminders.
