Abstract
Robotics has transformed both urological and gynecological practice by enabling minimally invasive surgery procedures, which enhances accuracy and reduces patient morbidity. This technological shift has expanded the boundaries of what is achievable in surgery by overcoming complex anatomical constraints previously considered insurmountable. The evolution of robotic systems, beginning with platforms like the da Vinci Surgical System, has laid the foundation for robot-assisted procedures across both specialties. This chapter explores the technological advancements, historical background, and clinical applications of robotic systems of robotic systems in urology and gynecology, providing an extensive perspective on this rapidly evolving field. Driven by the pursuit of greater precision and less invasive techniques to improve patient outcomes and reduce recovery costs, robotic-assisted surgery has gained prominence in both urology and gynecology. Advancements in engineering and robotic systems have enabled surgeons to perform complex procedures with greater dexterity, enhanced visualization, and refined force control, leading to a paradigm shift in surgery. Robotic assistance has become an essential tool across a wide range of surgical procedures, ...
