Mapping software is, alas, a weak spot in the Mac software catalog. Street Atlas USA and Route 66, for example, are no longer available for the Mac.
Until these programs re-emerge in a Mac edition, your best bet is to run the Windows versions in Windows mode on your Mac, as described in Chapter 8.
If you’re looking for driving directions and maps, don’t forget about Google Maps (http://maps.google.com). It’s fast, it’s convenient, it works the same on both Mac and Windows, and it’s free.
Also, don’t forget about the Yellow Pages feature of the Dashboard (Deleting a Desktop). It’s ready to print directions and draw maps.
