35. Just the FACS, Madam: Business Clothing Essentials

People will ask me, “Can I wear this outfit?” My answer is, “I don’t know unless you have paid attention to the FACS.” FACS is an acronym I created to help people choose their clothing whether in a business or business casual dress work environment.

Each letter of the FACS stands for something:

F stands for fit. Your clothing needs to fit properly. You can spend a fortune on an item, but if it is too big or too small, it isn’t going to look good.
