Industry competition risks and opportunities
You have assessed competitive intensity in your industry, both now and over the next few years. What are the risks to that assessment? What could happen to intensify competition further?
What could happen to internal rivalry, to customer bargaining power or to any of the other forces to intensify competition?
What is the likelihood of those risks occurring? And what would be the impact if they did?
What are the big risks (as defined in Chapter 3) – those that are reasonably likely and with reasonable impact? How will you mitigate these big risks should they occur?
Conversely, what are the big opportunities to perhaps balance these risks? And how will you exploit them should they occur?
