I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Writing a book like this at a natural inflection point in my own career has caused me to consider who I really ought to thank, and most importantly, what it was that those people gave me or taught me.
There have been many people who have been part of my HR journey who I have enjoyed working with and who have made my working life a little brighter and a little more fun. I am grateful for all of you. I hope here to acknowledge those who made it possible for me to be able to write this book.
Starting at the beginning, I have to thank my parents, Paula Morrison and Michael Templeman, for supporting my decision to drop-out of college after only a few weeks to try to ‘get a job in HR’. Things worked out well in the end!
