Questions

"Actually, what good is a strategy or action plan if it doesn't follow a guiding principle?" countered Hope. "Once you have your principles in place, then you can align your strategies, actions, and processes with your principles. If we follow the principles, we can identify solutions to enhance our culture in all our departments and business divisions, whether it's HR, sales, customer service, manufacturing, and so on. I intend to help each of you do this in your different departments so that we can ingrain positive energy into who we are and everything we do. But for now I want to introduce you to one solution that we can all use in every division, even Ken in manufacturing, and it's called the No Complaining Rule."

Jim and Ken looked at each other with a look that said they weren't sure if she was serious. Wayne spoke with blunt honesty as always. "You had me for awhile, Hope, but you just lost me. Are you serious?"

"I'm dead serious," said Hope.

"Actually, I like it," said Jim. "For once Hope and I agree. I'm sick of our employees whining about everything. Let's put an end to complaining all together."

Dan, on the other hand, chose to sit quietly and take it all in, letting each person speak.

"I'd have to know more before I judge," said Robert.

"It's not exactly what you think it is, gentlemen. I believe it will be a key element to transforming our culture."
