More Traffic

When she arrived home, Lauren was outside with her two best friends. They were all dressed up for their homecoming dance. Just great, Hope thought. When they were young she called them the three musketeers, but now she called them the three complainers. As she stepped out of her car, she prepared herself for the onslaught. But the only onslaught she received were smiles, hellos, and hugs. They were cheerful and kind. Hope wondered if they had been drinking, but she didn't smell anything, thank goodness. She later found out that they were infused with the intoxication of kindness and happiness. Turns out that Lauren told her friends about the No Complaining Rule, and they all decided to be more positive. In fact they committed to being the most positive girls in the school. And their goal was to share the No Complaining Rule with their entire school. When Hope heard the news, her fear about being able to translate the rule into a business setting dissipated. She saw how contagious it was with Lauren and her friends. Just as MySpace and Facebook had been adopted by both young adults and business types, she felt it would be the same with the No Complaining Rule. She just had to figure out how to roll it all out to her company so it could spread and work its magic. Jim is toast, she thought. Toast!
