NOTE In Figures 5-1 through 5-3, shifting a beam by one
round-hole (one module) would produce an even module
measurement. For example, shifting a 15M beam inward
by one round-hole in Figure 5-2 would result in a total
length of 34M.
Furthermore, as the structures in Figures 5-1 through
5-3 demonstrate, when extending beams, you should use
friction pegs instead of smooth pegs because they have
a stronger grip, and you should generally maintain a mini

mum overlap of 3M. Overlapping is a particularly important
construction principle, as more overlap creates stronger
