Notice that the examples in Figures 5-4 and 5-5 widen

only part of a beam, whereas the example in Figure 5-6

widens an entire beam. Just like you can extend beams in a

variety of ways, you can widen beams in a variety of ways.

Note also that the beams in Figures 5-4 and 5-5 have an

overlap of 7M, whereas the beams in Figure 5-6 overlap the

3M pegged block by 3M.
