Vehicles are one of the most popular types of
NXT creations because they’re easy to build
and fun to watch. Since they are also excel-
lent introductory robots, our first project is a
simple vehicle called Zippy-Bot (Figure 11-1).
If you like fast robots, this one won’t disappoint
you! Two motors with attached balloon wheels
drive the small robot, and a ball caster (which
we’ll discuss later) supports the robot in the
back. You’ll also notice two angled beams on
the very front, which prevent the robot from
