Figure 5-13 shows how to make a simple flexible LEGO

structure. First, insert two 3M pegs into a 9M beam (the

beam on top) and insert two pegs into an 11M beam

(the beam on the bottom). Next, connect a 9M beam to

the two leftmost pegs and connect an 11M beam to the

two rightmost pegs.

NOTE I would normally use all pegs in the dynamic

and flexible structures shown here, instead of includ-

ing some 3M pegs. (In this case, the 3M pegs cause the

beams to slip a bit.) However, because of the limited

number of pegs in the NXT set, I substituted the 3M pegs.
