Toyota sees its suppliers as partners, and as such it looks for agreements with them that can be as long as possible and beneficial for both parties. The level of service that is expected, the quality of the goods and a common culture that focuses all its attention on the customer (the customer first approach) are factors that strengthen the relationship over time; replacing a supplier is always a decision made after very careful considerations involving several different aspects.
