Of the ten third-party applications recommended in this chapter, Postling is by far the most popular tool used by professionals and businesses. That’s because it combines social media management with alerts and insights and allows for multiple users so everyone within an organization can have a hand in keeping your social media accounts humming with activity.
With Postling, you can unify and streamline your publishing, put your posts on a schedule, and review and respond to your comments in one location. It even has a magical Suggestion Engine that can recommend when to make special connections with new influential followers, and can track Yelp and CitySearch reviews so that any time there’s a new post about your service, you can read about it in real time.
Postling has been recently featured in The New York Times, TechCrunch, The Wall Street Journal, and Mashable. The only possible barrier between you and this incredible service is the thickness of your wallet. Posting costs $1 for the first 30 days of service, but after that, the fee is $3 per month per social media account. So, for instance, if you have one Twitter account, two Facebook accounts, and one Tumblr blog, that will cost you a cool $12 per month.
