9. Monitoring Your AdSense Performance

No matter which version of AdSense you’re using—Content, Search, Feeds, Mobile Content, or Domains—Google offers a variety of reports to help you monitor the performance of the ads on your site or blog. These reports show you how many clicks you’re generating and how much that means in terms of earnings.

Smart webmasters use these reports not just to determine how much ad revenue they’re generating, but also to increase the amount of that revenue. That requires reading between the lines in these reports, analyzing why your current ads are performing as they are, and then fine-tuning your site so that you generate more click-throughs per ad.
