strategies are known in Japan as Kaikaku and Kaizen while in the United
States they are known as Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and
Total Quality Management (TQM) or Continuous Value Improvement.
Michael Hammer and James Champy,* refer to BPR as the radical rede-
