It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

You can think of the Alexa Skill or the Dialogflow agent as the voice application that you are going to create. Once you are finished creating your voice application, you will deploy the Alexa Skill to Amazon Echo devices and Dialogflow agent to Google Home devices.
