I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In this chapter we are going to explore debates about the future of technology and the changes these developments are likely to bring to the world of employment and work.
We will start by exploring some of the most important contemporary examples of technologies that are soon likely to mature and become widely adopted. We will go on to discuss the likely impact on employment in a general sense, particularly the debate about whether the opportunity to work is going to lessen, and possible responses to this situation.
We will end with a discussion about predictive analytics and employee surveillance, exploring some of the professional and ethical issues associated with their use in workplaces.
