When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Suggestions for Tools and Technologies
The tools and technologies available today are not going to be the same tools and technologies available tomorrow. The entire world of software moves at a fast pace, but free and open source software makes the rest look like snails. The public and open nature of FOSS allows it to evolve at incredible speed. It can be difficult to keep up with the latest developments. Thankfully, your company doesn’t usually need to stay on the cutting edge of software. It can choose the tools and technologies available at the time it has a problem to solve, whatever those tools may be.
This rapid evolution of software makes it impractical for me to make recommendations for tools or technologies in this book. I could provide ...
