I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What Qualifies as Infringement?
It’s easy to forget with what looks like the free and easy “anything goes” environment of FOSS, but licenses are legal documents. Failure to follow all of the terms and conditions of a license is a violation of that license and therefore infringement of the copyright, and the perpetrator can face legal action.
For example, I have a tattoo of artwork that I commissioned from a skilled artist. During the process of commissioning the work, we negotiated that she retains copyright over it, but she granted me an exclusive license to use it for a tattoo and to print the art for personal use. Now if I were to post the art on my website, or use it in this book, I would violate the license, infringe on the artist’s copyright, ...
