So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Intellectual Property Considerations
Before you start your outbound FOSS initiatives, make sure you understand the intellectual property (IP) risk profile of your organization. IP is a primary concern of many companies where outbound contributions are concerned. As you learned in IP Exposure, it also can be a sticking point that can make or break an outbound FOSS contribution effort.

Copyright is likely to be the first IP topic you deal with when planning your outbound initiatives. Many of the contributions to FOSS projects may include IP that’s copyrightable.
