I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Difference Between Open Source and Free Software
Open source grew from the seed of Free Software, so why keep talking about Free Software at all? When you have an oak tree right in front of you, you don’t usually keep talking about the acorn. While open source currently receives the majority of the mind share, Free Software is still very much alive and well, as evinced by the success of projects such as Linux, Blender, Firefox, and so many more. Open source shares the same genetic base code as Free Software and the two complement each other well, so much so that from a user perspective there often appears to be little practical difference between the two of them.
