WhereHows
WhereHows is a metadata management tool used within LinkedIn, open source under Apache License recently, which we feel can be used to achieve metadata management and governance. Usage of WhereHows is an opinion that we might consider in our Data Lake implementation to achieve this very important capability.
WhereHows is a data discovery and lineage tool built at LinkedIn. It integrates with all the major data processing systems and collects both catalog and operational metadata from them.
