Situation Analysis
So far, we’ve delineated the problem and recorded our team’s reaction to the situation. At this point, it is appropriate for somebody who has technical and business knowledge about the problem to bring the rest of the team up to speed as to the technical and business situation connected with the problem. If the situation involves a competitive landscape, the standard tools for examining your position relative to the competition apply (e.g., Porter’s five forces, SWOT1).
