I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Implications for the Manager
The influence diagram is a very powerful brainstorming tool. When there’s a disagreement between different people on how things fit together, sometimes drawing the influence diagram on a whiteboard together can help resolve the situation.
The influence diagram can also include the subject matter experts that you plan to assess. This is very useful to discuss with management—many times upper management will have a particular expert that they would like you to talk with.
