About Facilitation
Another facilitation factor is the number of people you include in your meetings. There are trade-offs between having everybody included versus having a manageable team.
One of my hobbies is playing music—I play keyboards, bass, and some guitar and have played in duos and trios, medium-sized bands, and large bands. I’ve played rock, jazz, R&B, country, western, and contemporary Christian. My rule of thumb is that the difficulty of getting a group of musicians to align goes up by the power of the number of musicians. Here’s one of the few equations I’ll present: Difficulty = (Constant)n where n is the number of people!
