Chapter 3. Requirements analysis and
solution design
This chapter describes a business scenario for a portal based document
management integration and aggregation solution. It presents the functional and
non-functional requirements for the scenario and draws on these requirements to
produce use cases identifying the user interactions with a basic employee
workplace system. The requirements and use cases are fulfilled by implementing
the solution architecture, runtime and development environments, and
developing the application is described in the remaining chapters of this redbook.
