5.1 Configure WebSphere Portal for DB2
This section describes how to configure and verify WebSphere Portal to use DB2
UDB in place of the default Cloudscape™ database.
To configure WebSphere Portal to use DB2 UDB V8.1, do the following:
1. Stop the WebSphere_Portal application server.
2. Open a command window and navigate to the <wp_home>\config directory.
3. Backup the WebSphere Portal configuration properties found in the
wpconfig.properties file by entering the following command:
wpsconfig backup-main-cfg-file
