Also Liu et al. [45] developed a DNA hybridization biosensor
based on hollow gold nanospheres prepared using Co NPs as
sacrificial templates (Fig. 7.5b). After the immobilization of the
hollow gold nanospheres onto the gold electrode, the authors
functionalized them with capture ssDNA to detect the hybridization
