ABSTRACT: The density of Mg and Li are 1.74 g/cm
3
and 0.53 g/cm
3
respectively. With the increased con-
tent of Li, the density of Mg-Li alloy decreases and is less than the density of Al-Li alloy used as the novel aero-
nautical material, which generally is 1.3 g/cm
3
. When the content of Li exceeds 35%, the density of Mg-Li alloy
is less than 1 g/cm
